Edmond Portrait 2025

🎓 A Multidisciplinary Arsenal for Ward 6

My academic background isn’t for show - it is a toolkit explicitly built to serve Burlington:

  • Business & Banking: A city budget is a complex financial ecosystem. Combining advanced business strategy with high-finance banking experience, I will apply rigorous corporate cost-auditing to optimize city spending, eliminate structural deficits, and alleviate the upward pressure on your property taxes.

  • Computer Science & IT: As technology transforms our economy, my background in data architecture equips me to evaluate high-density tech infrastructure objectively. I will ensure development frameworks for data centres strictly protect our grid capacity, local environment, and municipal interests.

  • Mathematics & Physics: Traffic gridlock and infrastructure degradation are physical systems that require quantitative solutions. I will utilize spatial analytics and fluid dynamics modeling to optimize traffic flow, improve transit networks, and stress-test urban planning before tax dollars are spent.

  • Project Management: Municipal delays waste capital. Applying rigorous project lifecycle governance, risk-mitigation frameworks, and strict milestone tracking will ensure that local roadworks, transit upgrades, and public infrastructure projects are delivered on time and precisely on budget.

  • Psychology: Public safety and community design must be human-centric. By combining behavioral science with predictive tech frameworks, I will champion data-driven, highly coordinated community safety initiatives to systematically deter organized auto theft in our neighborhoods.

👤 About Me

I have lived in Burlington since 1994. First in the downtown, Ward 2, for 17 years, in Toronto for 5 years, and now in uptown, Ward 6, for over 10 years. Burlington is the home where I grew up, where much of my extended family lives, and where I choose to raise my own family.

During my some 30 years in Burlington, I have received awards as a D.A.R.E. role model, MP Citizen Award, and other volunteer recognitions for my contributions to the disabled community and Canadian Blood Services.

I attended Burlington Central High School before pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science and Mathematics at McMaster University, Hamilton. During my career I earned my Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) at Guglielmo Marconi University, Italy. I have deferred a Doctor of Business Administration (DrBA) at Universidad Catolica De Murcia (UCAM), Spain for a couple of years, but intend to pursue this advanced degree in the future.

While education is important to me, hard work is equally core to my personality. Since I was 16 years old, I have worked in Burlington at an auto body shop, at various department stores and at a restaurant. After university, I worked in Burlington and Campbellville at an engineering company, then throughout Ontario in banking, telecommunications, consulting, and nuclear energy facility.
